On April 3, 2020 the President declared our community a Major Disaster which triggers the release of Federal Funds to people impacted by the Flood of 2020.
CAPECO does not disperse FEMA dollars. Affected households must register with FEMA directly. We have provided the link for your convenience: www.DisasterAssistance.gov
The Red Cross Service Center is OPEN. Those affected by recent flooding are encouraged to call the hotline at (541) 215-2908 or stop by and learn about Red Cross assistance. The service center will be open daily from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. at 214 SE Emigrant Ave., Suite B. in Pendleton.

Home Cleanup HOTLINE for survivors of the flooding in Umatilla County, Oregon is open from now through February 28, 2020.
Call 884-965-1386 for help with home cleanup.
As they are able, reputable and vetted relief agencies may assist you and your neighbors in cutting fallen trees, removing drywall, insulation, flooring, furniture, appliances, tarp roofs, etc. All services are free, but service is not guaranteed due to the overwhelming need.

This hotline CANNOT assist with social services such as food, clothing, shelter,insurance, or questions about FEMA registration. Volunteers work free of charge and provide the tools and equipment to complete the work.

You may PHONE the City of Pendleton Parks Office at 541-276-8100 to provide their name and address. OR you may go to the DUMP SITE located on the old Riverside School Road to speak with crews there who will assist. If they are needing a truck to haul things, you may also put in that request and crew will be directed to them.

The City of Pendleton will have Pick-Up Trucks in the area at Riverside, to help people with hauling off large debris.
Anyone needing assistance should check in with the Volunteer Tent so that they are noted and we may connect the Trucks with the Address.
Clean up will continue today beginning at 10:00 am through 4:00 pm.
We are recommending volunteers continue to check-in at the Volunteer Tent.
Homeowners, renters and businesses - Report damage to property here: https://tinyurl.com/w4838tq. This information will be used by the county to capture impacts of the flood to request support from the state and federal government.

Red Cross Cascades Region is the lead emergency agency for people who have been evacuated. Red Cross can be contacted at 888-680-1455.
Red Cross has opened two community shelters for those that have been evacuated:
- Pendleton Convention Center (1601 Westgate, Pendleton OR)
- Walla Walla County Fairgrounds (363 Orchard St, Walla Walla WA)
CAPECO is working with Red Cross to provide additional services as needed.
